I väntan på Jesus

Watch the YouTube video: "World Oil Supply Set To Decline In Coming Decade? | Art Berman, Petroleum Geologist" from 25.7.2023, where economist Adam Taggart interviews petroleum geologist Art Berman. 

 

Adam Taggart (who has a beautiful charisma, he is a very beautiful man indeed) has a background with the Peak Prosperity crowd (ecological economist Chris Martenson et al.), and is nowadays running an own business, "Wealthion" and an own famous YouTubechannel. His background shines through. 

 

My comments: This is a pretty good video, it contains much valuable knowledge, but, when Art Berman says that most people are energy blind, I would say that Art in his turn is "oil exports blind", because of his prognostication, which is, for me as a peakoiler, pretty optimistic, it really does not take into account the current rapid decline in oil exports (which is an accelerated rate of decline), which will be the main driver of the coming Collapse. This is typical for the Peak Oil community. Jeffrey J. Brown, the arch-educator of oil export math, hasn't succeeded very well in educating this community in this science. 

 

How can Art state that everything is pretty fine in the oil industry, and will be so for the next few years? His statement was made before

 

1) the news about the extremely big drop in oil production in Alberta came out, see the article: "Alberta Oil Output Drops Amid Maintenance, Suncor Exclusion", by Robert Tuttle, on Mon, July 31, 2023 on Yahoo Finance. 

 

 

These two articles, plus the much older news about the several big OPEC+ oil production cuts (se my blogpost about it here), are a real wake up call, to me at least. Observe that such cuts are seldom announced for what they are, but become part of an intricate, deceiving agenda. 

 

When you then add to these stories the economic collapse news in the world, which are plentiful and everywhere (just search for "economic collapse" on YouTube), and seem to worsen every year (note: there is almost always an apocalyptic sentiment in these videos, the "YouTube collapsosphere", like "the Big Economic Collapse is just around the corner", and then the expected collapse never materializes, but things get slowly worse anyway. I have followed this sphere for many years), then you get to understand that even the oil industry is in serious trouble, and has been so for a long time, think about the fact that the shale oil industry (note: the saviour nr. 1 for the elite, even more so than renewables) has never made any real money, but has lost a LOT of money instead. They have been really, really deep in debt, and do you really believe the last rubbish (see my take on it here) that they have began to make money recently? They haven't even paid their mountains of debt. How can you then say someone is making money if they are really deep into debt, and the debt pile just gets bigger and bigger for every year, like the US government behaves (this government is really what is primarily funding the shale oil industry)? This is the bussines of Ponzi Schemes, and the whole civilization has turned into a big Ponzi Scheme (see this article on www.eand.com by british economist Umair Haque, and this article on Daily Kos), that just slowly devours itself from the inside. 

 

But Art Berman is apparently so focused on the details, that he misses the big picture that is unraveling, of an extremely big, extremely fat, sick, wretched, poisonous global megamachine-timebomb-robot that just slowly devours itself, self-cannibalizes, year after year, poisoning its environment in the process, slowly, in rage, extinguishing its environment, and is run by people who are so blind to reality that they think everything is fine now, because they can make some bucks still, that this party will continue for decades still, maybe centuries, which is the very reason for the actions of this same megamachine, which feeds on old petroleum poison and hollow hopes of a grandiose, luxurious techno-Millennial Kingdom, often even worse than the hopes and dreams of Hitler himself.
