Sober words from Tim Watkins about the energy situation in the UK
(This blogpost can be read to the beautiful song by the British band Coldplay, named "In My Place". Maybe I'm most thankful to people on the internet for the beautiful songs I found there)
Read this very enlightening recent blogpost by the very learned ecological economist Tim Watkins (who also is a prolific author on economics, see this list of his books on Amazon), on the precarious energy situation in the UK. He ends the post with these words:
"The choice is to either secure a high energy-density alternative to fossil fuels (which doesn’t currently exist) or face a relatively rapid simplification of our economy – which will be something like the Great Depression of the 1930s… only much worse and with no way back."
My comment: This is the situation the whole world is in, actually, not only the UK. What a relief that there is no way out other than back to Nature's bosom. And how exciting to be alive and be a witness to the destruction of hell, of "civilization" (which actually is the peak of barbarism), to be a witness to it here on the internet, which is why I am here, with childlike joy and holy awe, because this destruction is also the end of psychiatry, which has tortured me so much and hated me so much.
Hallelujah! The "fall of Babylon" will be rejoiced in by so many cage hens!
