En ängels ljuvliga budskap till den ateistiska neurokirurgen Eben Alexander
"Oprah: So now you're going into another dimension where you met a guide -- a woman who led you on a journey on the wings of a giant butterfly, into another world of inexplicable beauty. Did you recognize her?
Dr. Alexander: No. She was very beautiful. And she was looking at me with the most loving smile.
Oprah: What is the message you received? Tell us that.
Dr. Alexander: "You are loved, deeply cherished, forever. There is nothing you have to fear. You will always be loved, and there's nothing that you can do wrong." "
Alexander, who was adopted, said he had some belief in God in his early life, but that ended in February 2000 when he reached out to his birth parents and was told it wasn’t a good time to connect because one of their daughters had died two years earlier.
Eventually, Alexander did connect with his birth family and their remaining two children. One of his birth sisters, Kathy, said she would send him a photo of their sister, Betsy, who had died in 1998. Four months after emerging from the coma, the envelope arrived.
“I looked at the picture of Betsy, this beautiful sister I had never met, and I knew exactly who was on the butterfly,” Alexander said, his voice cracking. “It was absolutely crystal, clear. It was Betsy. I was so stunned I couldn’t even stand up. This is too deep. … The skeptic in me came back fighting.”
His birth parents told him that Betsy was always bringing home stray dogs and cats, and that she always reached out to homeless people. They referred to her as an angel. He finally told them about his experience."

"As he moved through various scenes, Alexander said he was speck on a butterfly’s wing and beside him was a beautiful girl he had never seen before.
“She looked at me with a cherished, loving look,” he said. “A love purer than any form of love on this earth.”
His guardian angel didn’t speak, he said, but he was able to read her thoughts.
Her thoughts were, “you are loved, cherished, dearly forever. There is nothing you can do wrong. You have nothing to fear. … It was the most comforting and reassuring, purely unconditional love beyond description.” "
